The Water Conservation Committee continues to make progress on the community well project and is actively working with ECC to move the administrative agreement forward. While the committee remains optimistic, the process has been slower than hoped due to county and Village regulatory policies that require multiple steps, reviews, and approvals before any major work can proceed.
Even with these delays, forward momentum continues. ECC has recently hired an engineer to evaluate their role in the project and provide professional guidance as planning advances. This is an important step in ensuring the project is handled properly and meets all required standards.
The committee appreciates residents’ patience as this effort continues and will provide additional updates as more information becomes available. The goal remains clear: to support long-term water conservation solutions that benefit the community and help protect our resources for the future.
